Guided Cycle tours around and from berlin

Testimonials

Peter,

Dear Peter,

We had such an amazing time on our Easy Cycling Tours of Berlin, Potsdam and the 4 day cycle to Dresden. Cycling is such a pleasure around Berlin as other traffic is so respectful and there are so many great sights to visit all within easy cycling distance. The day trip to Potsdam was magnificent with all the beautiful houses to see on the way along with the stunning palaces in Potsdam. We even had a swim in the Wannsee lake to cool off on the way. But the most memorable part of our European holiday this year was undoubtedly your 4 day cycling tour to Dresden. You have planned this trip so well, with comfortable stages staying in unique local accomodation along the way, that gave us a true feel for each locality. You even arranged for us to meet interesting locals and to have dinner with the artist Wolfgang Georgsdorf which was a highlight. Furthermore, your detailed knowledge of the history of the areas we rode through inspired many discussions about the history of those areas and made a huge difference to our overall experience. You also knew just when to have a break for a hot chocolate or a local delicacy so that we kept our energy up. Finally we really appreciated your choice of accommodation, particularly in Dresden along with the fact that having bikes there made exploring this wonderful city so easy. Thanks again Peter for such an amazing journey in Germany this summer.

Dear Peter,

We just wanted to thank you so much for a stunning day riding out to Potsdam- it was, without doubt, the highlight of our trip to Berlin. Meandering through the delightful leafy suburbs of Berlin, taking in the beautiful old mansions, seeing the charming railway station with its dark history, riding along the woodland paths and lake edge - it was quite magical! And Potsdam itself, such a delightful town surrounded by those amazing palaces with their fascinating histories - we would not have missed it and can not imagine having had such a wonderful day without your guidance and informative commentary. We will certainly be recommending you to any friends who head to Berlin and we will be coming back for more!!

We had an amazing day riding out to Potsdam with Peter in June last year. Peter's knowledge of the area and its history is broad and we thoroughly enjoyed the commentary as we pedalled through the forest and along the banks of Lake Wanasee to Potsdam.

On our first visit to Berlin in May 2011 we contacted Easycyclingtours and Peter put us on bicycles and led us on a fascinating introduction to Berlin.  Despite a few wobbles (when did we last get on a bike?), the space given to bicycles on the road or footpath and the courteousness of drivers meant an anxiety-free tour of the City and its sights.  We had a wonderful day, a perfect way to get to know this truly impressive City.  Peter knew exactly what would be of interest and how to time the cycling so we could arrive home tired but not exhausted.  Thank you Peter!

Our cycling tour of Berlin was a highlight of our short stay in Berlin. We arrived on a wet and windy summer day and took a bus tour to all the main places of interest which was rather underwhelming in the bad weather conditions. The following day we cycled with Peter & Yuri’s Easycyclingtours.net company to all of the same places and more.  With their great knowledge of the area and it’s history we saw and learnt so much more and thoroughly enjoyed the easy cycle routes around Berlin. I’m not a cyclist but for me it was definitely the best way to see the city and next time I’d like to go further afield with Easycyclingtours.

Peter of Easycyclingtours.net talked through our interests before we set of and as my brother is an architect & I'm interested in the arts, Peter tailored our trip around central Berlin. He knew all the secret courtyards of interest, public art works and buildings of interest. Our tour culminated in a huge - but leisurely - ride all around the abandoned Templehof Airport.  Peter has an amazing knowledge of contemporary and historical Berlin and he really enriched our experience of the city. Ending with a Mustafa's kebab and a giant beer wasn't bad either!

Berlin is a sensational city and for a few days in May I soaked up the history, sights and sounds of this vibrant city, punctuated by cycling trips with Easy Cycling Tours. The cycling tour out to the western suburbs of Berlin, the Wannsee and Potsdam with its palaces was well run, well-guided and personal. The historical points were really interesting with many both poignant and moving. This was a great day and I could not have found all these sightseeing highlights so easily and efficiently on my own. Exploring Berlin and its environs with Easy Cycling Tours by bike, outside of the more structured type of bus tours, was a real highlight to my trip. Thanks to Peter and Bastian for an excellent day.
